Nematodes for leaf application
Some pests, such as thrips and caterpillars, live on the leaves instead of in the soil. By spraying nematodes onto the foliage you tackle these pests directly — safe and biological.
Important to know
Nematodes dry out quickly on the leaf. The key to success is high humidity and applying without direct sunlight, so the nematodes stay active long enough to reach the pest.
Step by step
How to spray the nematodes
Make the concentrate
- Dissolve the entire sachet of nematodes in 1 litre of water
- Stir well until there are no lumps left
- Optionally add NemaCharge for better adhesion and spreading
Fill the sprayer
- Pour the concentrate into a clean pressure or plant sprayer
- Use a coarse nozzle — fine filters or mists damage the nematodes
- Top up with water to match the leaf area to treat
Spray the leaves
- Lightly moisten the leaves first so the surface is damp
- Spray both the upper and underside of the leaves thoroughly
- Treat all affected plants at once
The right moment
- Apply in the late evening or on a cloudy, humid day
- Avoid direct sunlight and wind
- High humidity strongly extends the active time
Aftercare
- Keep the surroundings as humid as possible for the first days (e.g. in a greenhouse or by misting)
- Repeat the treatment after 7 to 10 days if pest pressure persists
Tip
Combine leaf application with yellow sticky boards: that way you catch the adult insects while the nematodes tackle the larvae.

Storage advice
